Mr. Hasan Ali Hashwani – Director and Chairman

Mr. Hasan brings extensive experience in managing a diversified business portfolio. He has been involved in the oil and gas industry for over 20 years, with deep expertise in operations, mergers, and acquisitions. Since 2004, he has also played a key role in hotel development. He holds a master’s degree from Switzerland and joined the Board of Hashwani Hotels Limited in 2022.

Mr. Kamran Ahmed – Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Kamran has over 30 years of experience in investment banking and the oil & gas industry. His career includes roles at Shell Pakistan, Dar Al Maal Islami S.A., Merrill Lynch, Bankers Equity, and IIBL. He has been with Orient Petroleum Inc. for two decades and has led its growth in Pakistan. Mr. Kamran holds a BSc in Business Management & Finance from Cornell University (USA) and a postgraduate degree in Banking and Economics from Cyprus. He has attended and contributed to numerous professional seminars and workshops in Pakistan and internationally, including Turkey, India, Belgium, and Malaysia. He joined the Board of Hashwani Hotels Limited in 2022.

Mr. Babar Hussain – Senior Vice President

Mr. Babar Hussain is a Senior Vice President and Director of Hashwani Hotels Limited and has been associated with Orient Petroleum Inc. for over 20 years. A graduate in Commerce and Law, he is also a part-qualified Chartered Accountant with articles from Deloitte. Currently, he serves as General Manager, Internal Audit, Tax & Legal at OPI. He brings 24 years of experience in audit, taxation, compliance, risk management, and corporate affairs. His expertise includes offshore mergers, negotiations, due diligence, and legal matters both locally and internationally. He has attended various professional courses in the UK, UAE, and Pakistan.

Mian Shah Faisal – Chief Financial Officer

Mian Shah Faisal has over a decade of experience in the hospitality industry. He currently serves as Chief Financial Officer and Director of Hashwani Hotels Limited and also sits on the boards of other group companies. His past roles include positions at Ramada Continental Hotel (Dubai) and Shell UK. He is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales (ICAEW), Certified Public Accountants (Ireland), and a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).

Syed Maqsood Sher – Director

Syed Maqsood Sher is a seasoned senior executive with extensive experience in the energy sector. He has led complex organizations across E&P and LNG operations, with expertise in strategic planning, financial turnaround, capital planning, joint ventures, regulatory affairs, and field development. He has held senior roles globally, including President and Country Manager (Egypt) for GDF Suez (now ENGIE), VP Operations & Development in Paris, EVP & Group COO at Orient Petroleum International, and Country Head Tunisia at DNO ASA. He currently serves on the Board of Pakistan LNG Limited and advises the Board of Orient Petroleum Pakistan. Mr. Sher is multilingual, fluent in English, French, and Spanish.
